Ajay Vaidya
A View From India
With a longstanding mission of excellence, empowerment, service, respect, and Catholic identity, Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s inclusive endeavors have had a direct effect on exploring, understanding, and celebrating our cultural similarities and differences. Rich in family values, traditions, and educational pursuits, many international students at Â鶹ÊÓƵ feel at home with the core values our community has to offer. In accord with Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s “University for the World” theme presented through messaging, events, and national flags displayed on campus light poles, the University would like to highlight the students that represent our diverse community, starting with the multilingual and multi-ethnic South Asian country of India.
India-native Ajay Vaidya has developed a deep appreciation for America through his time as an international graduate student at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Vaidya was not only an alumnus, but also a beloved resident assistant in Loughran Hall, a social media marketing intern for Chartwells food service, and an active member of several campus clubs. His welcoming personality and ability to speak seven different languages has granted him a plethora of interesting conversations and friendships with other international and American students. Although Vaidya has traveled to nearly fifty countries for conferences, summer school initiatives, and exchange programs, his favorite country, he states, is still America.
“Â鶹ÊÓƵ has given me everything. People are so open and accepting here,” Vaidya exclaims.
Vaidya graduated from Â鶹ÊÓƵ with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2017 and and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems (MS-MIS) in 2020.
